Description

An 8-inch chef knife with a Damascus blade: a steel core wrapped in layers of Damascus steel leaves a wave across the blade, so every knife carries its own pattern. A rosewood handle, a steel bolster and a curved edge made for slicing, dicing and chopping.

  • Blade: about 20 cm (7.9 in), Damascus-clad steel, chef knife profile with a pointed tip.
  • Handle: rosewood, about 12 cm, three rivets with an ornamental pin in the middle.
  • Overall: about 33 cm (13 in).
  • In the box: the knife in a black lid-and-base gift box, with plastic guards on the blade.
  • Hand wash and dry it straight away; keep it out of the dishwasher.

Shown for styling only and not included: the Wynden Home display stand, food and other props in the photos.

Why a chef knife

One knife for most of the cutting.

The chef knife is the all-round knife of the kitchen: it slices, dices, chops and carries what you cut to the pan.

  1. 01
One knife for most of the boardA 20 cm blade is long enough to slice a roast and still handle an onion or a handful of herbs.
  2. 02
A pattern of its ownLayers of steel forged together leave a wave across the blade. Every knife carries its own.
  3. 03
A curved edge, a pointed tipThe edge curves up to the tip, so you can rock the knife through herbs, and the wide blade carries what you chopped to the pan.
  4. 04
Rosewood in the handA rosewood handle with three rivets, and a steel bolster where the blade meets the handle.

Hand wash and dry it straight away; keep it out of the dishwasher. Cut on wood or plastic boards, not on glass or stone.
